    The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the procurement of goods and services a supply base in direct support of distribution operations. The Supply Chain Specialist will be the primary contact with suppliers in the areas of supplier performance, flow of material and inventory control. The Supply Chain Specialists will provide data analysis for production planning, product forecasting, and inventory management while participating in process improvement efforts.


    • Material Procurement: The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for all procurement of finished goods. Supplier and vendor management, including vendor assessment , evaluation and metrics
    • Maintain Inventory: The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for insuring the proper inventory levels are maintain, inventory scheduling and receiving of finished goods.
    • Respond to Demand: The Supply Chain Specialist must assess current orders and forecast future demand in order to provide adequate supplies. When something significant changes in the supply chain and demand, the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for responding to these changes in demand and solving any supply chain problems that arise.
    • Inbound Logistics: The Supply Chain Specialist will manage relationship with inbound freight partners, freight forwarders and customs brokerages. Included is the monitoring of inbound shipments to insure timely deliveries as well as insure import documents are complete or provide necessary information to complete for compliance


    Core skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office core applications; Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel
    • Cost reduction and efficiency improvements
    • Great communicator, written and verbal, diligence and follow up is crucial
    • Strong organizational ability
    • Having professional planning experience
    • Showing some knowledge of ERP systems
    • Ability to work independently


    Advanced skills:

    • Experience using SAP Business One
    • Bachelor’s in Logistics, Business or Supply Chain Management
    • Supply chain and logistics experience
    • Experience with importation and customs brokerage
